This sensor detects if and when the light in the grow tent or grow room is on and off. Based on this information, a distinction is then automatically made between day and night as far as the control is concerned. This allows you to set speed limits for day and night or individual target values. This makes sense especially with the speed. For example, you don’t want the fan to spin up at night and cause noise at night.
This avoids sources of error and you no longer have to worry about changing the light cycle.
