The disadvantage of a central controller in a grow tent is the reliability of the overall system. If I have a central point that measures and regulates everything, all components in the grow tent are affected in the event of a failure. In the case of stand-alone devices, for example, “only” the LED control and not the ventilation fails. This can save the grow under certain circumstances. The difference is even greater when you use several components in a grow room. If I have 10 fans and 10 lights here, only 1 fan or 1 lamp would fail instead of all of them in a modular grow system like Plantalytix.
