The old generation needed a central controller. This had integrated sensors and controlled any components such as fans, sockets, etc. via radio. There was only limited remote access and a limited feature set.
The new products are all stand-alone and can therefore be operated without a central controller. They have better technology and a more extensive feature set for even more comfort. They are more reliable and even easier to use.
