How does a closed grow box work?
A closed grow box is unique in the private sector. The following videos show how it works.
No ventilation
No air exchange with the environment and therefore independent of the setup area. This means that a separate climate can also be created inside.
Automatic irrigation
Irrigation is carried out using simple physics and without pumps or similar. This means watering only once a month with maximum hygiene.
Climate control
The grow box has adjustable heating and active dehumidification/cooling. This allows the microclimate in the box to be regulated individually and, above all, constantly.
CO2 fertilization
The CO2 for the plants is supplied externally and ensures up to 30% better growth under optimum conditions. CO2 fertilization is difficult to achieve with “open” systems.

What does "closed" grow box mean?
This means that there is no air exchange with the environment. No fans to the outside and therefore independent of the setup area and the climate there. This means that a separate climate can be created inside the grow box.
This is similar to a refrigerator, where you have cool temperatures inside even in summer.

– Tropfblumaten-Lösung: sicheres und gleichmäßigen Verteilen des Wassers bei Trockenheit. Dabei wird ein Tonkegel in das Substrat gesteckt und mit der Wasserschale verbunden. Wird der Tonkegel zu trocken, wird Wasser aus der Wasserschale gesaugt und tropft langsam ins Substrat. Dadruch werden die pflanzen automatisch gegossen und vor allem nicht über wässert.

Why is there no odor in the grow box?
Because there is no air exchange and therefore both the climate and the odor remain inside. It’s like “stinky cheese” in the fridge – it doesn’t stink in the kitchen either.
How much effort do I have to put into the grow box?
It is a complete grow box set, which means that you have everything you need and everything is perfectly coordinated. After assembly, which takes just a few minutes, it only needs to be watered around 1-2 times a month.
Otherwise, you only need to open the grow box when you are caring for the plants (e.g. removing leaves, etc.).
Can I really harvest so easily with the grow box?
YES. The system and the process have been around for over 5 years now and have been tried and tested thousands of times. Many of our customers, who are now spread across 10 countries, have cultivated plants with our growbox for the first time.
It really is so simple thanks to the climate control and the closed system, as there are no disruptive factors.
I am a beginner - is the grow box complete set suitable for me?
In any case. The system is designed and optimized for beginners. You don’t have to worry about almost anything and you don’t need any knowledge about plants. You don’t even need to know anything about technology, because even that is designed to be as simple as possible.
You will also harvest successfully on your first attempt and can enjoy your free time without any worries.
Without supply air? What about mold?
There are no problems with mold in this system. Even when drying, where mold sometimes occurs, there is no problem. The reason is simple.
As there is cooling in the system and moisture always collects at the coldest point, there is no risk of mold.
Is the grow box safer or more hygienic?
The mere fact that no spores or pests are brought into the system through the permanent exchange of air makes the system safer in this respect.
The risk of mold is also much lower and high hygienic conditions have been deliberately ensured.

Fridge Grow vs. Fridge Grow 2.0 - Unterschiede?
Viele kennen Fridge Grow noch als DIY-Kit. Das Prinzip ist seit 2018 gleich geblieben, aber wir haben unter engem Austausch mit unserer Community Fridge Grow auf eine neue Stufe gehoben. Fridge Grow 2.0 kommt als fertiges Growbox Komplettset und vom DYI-Charakter ist wenig übrig geblieben.
Neue Software, neue Hardware und vor allem einfacheres Handling zeichnet Fridge Grow 2.0 aus. Wir haben uns bei der Weiterentwicklung ganz klar auf einfaches Handling, wenig Aufwand und verlässlich gute Ernten fokussiert.
Anstatt einzelner Komponenten die man bei Fridge Grow noch selber verbauen musste, liefern wir bei Fridge Grow 2.0 nun ein einzelnes Modul das alles verbaut hat und so schnell und unkompliziert montiert werden kann. Da Fridge Grow 2.0 viele Neuerungen erhalten hat, sind alte Fridge Grow Geräte nicht mehr kompatibel.
Ist Fridge Grow schon lange am Markt?
Fridge Grow bzw. das Team rund um Fridge Grow gibt es schon seit 2016. Seit damals hat sich Fridge Grow von einer Idee, über DIY Fridge Grow, bis hin zu der wahrscheinlich benutzerfreundlichsten Growbox entwickelt.
Das Produkt Fridge Grow war bis 2023/24 auch als Brand bekannt und wird seit 2024 mit unseren anderen Geräten als Produkt Fridge Grow 2.0 unter dem Brand Plantalytix geführt. Wir arbeiten eng mit Experten, Forschern und Growern zusammen und lassen Wünsche in unsere Produkte einfließen.
